Since I have been working in this company, I have learned a lot of new skills that can and will be of good benefit to me and also for the patient, with the confidence that I have obtained I feel it will be of good use to me in the coming future. Very overworked. Understaffed, underpaid, overworked. Would often be given a ridiculous patient case load, used to do well over required hours with no financial benefit.
Did not enjoy job. A typical day would be making sure the patients are comfortable by checking their observations, temperature and so on. I have learnt a lot since i started i now know how to do the Ecg's, take blood, cannulate and catheterize the patients.
My co-workers are like my second family very hard working and very supportive. Hardest part of the job is facing the relatives who are anxious, ungrateful and sometimes aggressive towards the staff. The most enjoyable part of the job is when we all meet for ward parties and meals out. A good place to work. Fully enjoyed my time at North Middlesex Hospital. They have a in my opinion a great Molecular Diagnostics department where I was actively encouraged and learnt a lot from working with the staff who were friendly some who have become good friends.
All managers are very supportive of their staff and actively encourage further training and were very easy to talk to if any problems did arise. It is a team based work that involves receiving and guiding the patient during all the process of the scanning to insure a good imaging and better diagnostic.
Effective communication. I have been working voluntarily as a Health care assistant in North Middlesex University Hospital and I can honestly say that in our setting, the effectiveness of promoting diversity is excellent because we work in collaboration with our colleagues to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare, care and support.
Also, we communicate in an open and effective way to promote the health, safety and well-being of people who use our health and care services. Clinical and theatre work experience. Advice to Management To listen to understand and do research before passing blame Sep 19, An emergency doesn't care what day of the week we're on. Report as unsuitable. I have to wait long time ,as there was not enough doctors and nurses. But on the reception was a one lady, just wanted to say that is the first time that I have seen one receptionist to work like that. I could see that she cares about her job and she understands the patients as well. She remembers patients name and how they look like, and this helps the doctors when they was calling patients.
All the time she kept me updated me how many people are before me. I did saw her going and check every single patient in waiting room. I am fascinated from that lady and I think all the receptionist need to do their job like this lady. I didn't see her name. Thank you so much. I got referred by my GP for a skin rash I was struggling with for 3 months.
I have explained everything I tried etc. No rash, no allergies. After that did not make sense for a million reasons, I have continued exploring options with my GP and found out that it was an allergic reaction to the Urban Decay setting spray I was using on my face.
My skin is back to being amazing now but it is so frustrating to know they have a degree and a job and diagnose you based on a photo. I have done a better job diagnosing myself from Google pics. I went for Blood Test at Laurel medical healthy living centre, in the afternoon on two separate occasions.
I found a Notice where the numbers are dispensed with phone numbers to contact North Middlesex Hospital to book an appointment for Blood Test. From further investigations, I found out that one has to be at the clinic before midday for any blood sample to be taken. I wondered as to why this information is not clearly displayed. I also observed many patients looked lost and did not know the signposts.
More so, Haringey constitutes of multicultural communities. This is very disappointing and appalling as such a convenient service had to decrease the services. Provided by Care Opinion. Dear Rasjug, The phlebotomy service at the Laurels is run on a walk in basis meaning there are no pre-booked appointments and therefore no way of knowing how many patients will show on any given day.
The lack of appointments has been kept specifically at the request of locals who wanted the flexibility of being able to show up without an appointment. Currently, the phlebotomy service at The Laurels sees between patients each day, the bulk of these patients come to the clinic between 9am and 12pm often leading to queues of waiting in an area designed for 50 patients.
When this occurs, we have no recourse but to temporarily suspend the service until the queue has been reduced to a level that does not threaten Health and Safety standards.
We are aware that this can be quite frustrating for patients who have come in to have their blood collected, only to be told that the service has been closed and we are doing what we can to provide alternatives. Attached is a sign that has gone up in the department alerting patients of the situation and providing details of other option available. We assure you that we are aware of the current demands upon the service want to provide a robust system that places the needs of the patient at the Centre.
I had to arrange ambulance transport for my wheelchair bound father for the first time and to be honest was dreading accompanying him on the journey from his Enfield care home. However I was most pleasantly surprised by the joyful and efficient service all day!
The driver collecting us and 2 others was most helpful, bright and cheerful, overcoming some difficulties fitting the wheelchair on board and instilling comfort and confidence in my father. Great driver on the way back, friendly, open and inclusive. That meant everyone we had met in transport was cheerful, we were back within 2 hours from the appointment time, much quicker than expected.
